Dell Inspiron 14R - midrange gaming laptop review

I have a DELL Inspiron 14R which I bought last December 2010. The reason why I bought this laptop is its GPU. My Inspiron 14R is equipped with ATI HD 5470 1GIG of VRAM.

Out of the box I installed my Tom Clancy HAWX but when I played the game I experienced sluggish in the graphics but after installing Xtreme-G ATI Driver  game runs smoothly. I  set the resolution to full 1366x768 and 2x/2x AA-AF.

Another game installed set to full resolution at 2x/2x AF is the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I am an avid fan of the Call of Duty series, but with schedule limits my time to play more video games.

Game tested: HAWX, Modern Warfare 2, BIOSHOCK, HALO 1, Quake III, Mass Effect 1, Angry Birds...

Dell Inspiron 14R Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3 @ 2.2Ghz
RAM: 2GIG DDR3 1066Mhz up to (8GIG)
GPU: ATI HD 5470 1GIG
WiFi: 802.11b/g/n
HDD: 320GIG - 640GIG
DVDROM: R/W
HDMI: Output
eSATA in USB port
USB: 2 ports

All in all this $700USD laptop suffice my expectation. The Dell Inspiron 14R can handle games flawlessly. I have added more RAM to boost its performance. The only issue I am facing is the overheating of the metal at the hard drive bay (left palm) when running at heavy graphics like gaming and video editing. Also it is advisable to have laptop cooler to reduce the temperature in the hard drive bay and in the RAM area and avoid
dell inspiron overheating.
